Kaweah Country came close to getting some moisture during this week’s cool down. However, most of the energy in the passing system was north of Yosemite National Park; some higher elevations in Stanislaus National Forest received several inches of snow. Temperatures will warm up again by Sunday. The Memorial Day weekend looks sunny and mild with temperatures forecast to be in the upper 80s. This will be quite a contrast from the last two years when the three-day annual kickoff to summer started cold and blustery and chased many campers home early.
