| Note
regarding your stay in the Three Rivers
area:
The
motels, bed-and-breakfasts, and other
overnight accommodations in Three Rivers
and the surrounding areas are family-owned
and operated. They all aim to please,
and if there is something amiss in your
room or with the service, they would appreciate
knowing about it and, in addition, will
do everything possible to provide the
assistance you require.
However,
this is a rural area and there are some
fundamental elements that are beyond the
owner's control, such as:
Technology—
(1)
Unless your cell-phone provider is AT&T,
you will not have phone service
in Three Rivers.
(2)
Many lodging facilities offer free wireless
Internet, but it will be slower than that
which is available in metropolitan areas.
Mother
Nature—
(1)
In the summer in Three Rivers, it is hot,
sometimes hitting 100 degrees for several
days at a time. All motel rooms are air-conditioned,
but some of the small, in-room type of
units may produce more noise through the
night than what you may be accustomed
to at home.
(2)
There are bugs here and although we have
attempted for many generations to eradicate
every last one, they keep returning. Lodging
facilities work hard to keep rooms and
grounds insect-free, but at some point
you may encounter ants, mosquitoes, a
spiderweb, or yellowjackets. In the case
of ants, keep all sweets in sealed baggies
or sealed containers and they won't be
attracted to the area.
In exchange for these minor
inconveniences, Three Rivers residents
have the privilege of residing in one
of the last, best places in all of California!
Notice that there is never a traffic jam
(except on a three-day weekend at the
Sequoia National Park entrance), there
isn't a single stoplight in town, and
there isn't a view of the High Sierra
like this from any other town on the west
side of the range.

while enjoying the swimming pool and onsite
