Suzanne Constance Stedman, a 35-year resident of Three Rivers, died Saturday, Aug. 6, at her home. She was 76.

A celebration of Suzanne’s life will be held Sunday, Sept. 11, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., at her home. All who loved her are invited to attend.

Suzanne was born July 26, 1940, in downtown Los Angeles to Robert Selwyn Johnson and Alice Butler. She was raised in the San Fernando Valley and attended San Fernando High School (with Richie Valens, then known as Richard Valenzuela but with the nickname “The Little Richard of the Valley”).

Suzanne also attended UCLA. She was a dental assistant during the 1960s and ‘70s before moving to Three Rivers in about 1980, where she had been vacationing since childhood.

During the 1980s and into the ‘90s, Suzanne owned and operated Country Girl Antiques in Three Rivers, which was located in the A-frame building that is home to Affairs Realty.

Suzanne is survived by her spouse, Richard Sherlock, and her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Georgine Stedman.
