Peg Seaborn: 1918 ~ 2017

Founded the Loom Room

 

Margaret Grace Alltucker Wells Seaborn, a former resident of Three Rivers, recently of La Pine, Ore., died Friday, April 14, 2017. She was 98.  
 
Peg was born May 25, 1918, in Berkeley, Calif. She lived in Exeter until age 9, when the Alltucker family moved to Vallejo. 
 
Peg graduated from UC Berkeley in 1940. In 1941, she married Walter Wells Jr., and they settled in Three Rivers in 1947.
 
In 1958, Peg married Walter Seaborn. She raised five Wells/Seaborn children and for over 50 years was a notable presence in the communities of Three Rivers, Silver City, and Mineral King. 
 
Peg especially loved her Loom Room weaving studio that was located on her South Fork ranch and the many friends she made there.
 
Peg outlived her daughter, Susanne, and is survived by her sons, Todd Wells, Jim Wells of Bend, Ore., and John Seaborn of Longmont, Colo.; stepdaughter Lexie Seaborn Dirksen of Angwin, Calif.; grandchildren Josh Wells of Turner, Ore., Jeremy Wells of Visalia, Janessa Wells  of Bend, Ore., Micah Dirksen of Napa, Calif., and Tyndall Wells  of Bend, Ore.; and great-grandchildren Parker, Zack, Haley, Teagan, Garrett, and Greta.
