Lee Reeves: 1928 - 2014

Lee Roy Reeves, a resident of Three Rivers for 30 years, died of cancer at his home on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014. He was 85.

Lee was born in Santa Monica on November 16, 1928. He was raised and educated in the Los Angeles area.

He joined the Air National Guard during the Korean War. He was an aircraft mechanic for 30 years.

After he retired from the military, his next career was in home construction and remodeling.

He moved to Three Rivers in 1983. He called Three Rivers “God’s country” and loved it here. He enjoyed woodworking, backpacking, and boating.

Lee is survived by his nine grandchildren and his friend, Marion McCollester, of Three Rivers.

A service was held January 25 at the Visalia Elks Lodge.
