Kevin Canter: 1961 ~ 2016


Kevin Canter of Three Rivers died at his home on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016. He was 55.
Kevin was born June 15, 1961, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was raised in Brooklyn and, later, Running Springs, Calif.
Kevin grew up in a small apartment in Bensonhurst, N.Y. He had one older brother and four younger sisters. He loved his role as big brother.
The family moved to the San Bernardino area when Kevin was 12. He joined the U.S. Navy when he was 16, where he was trained as an airplane mechanic.
After his service, Kevin returned to New York, where he was a bartender. He also resided for a time in Jamaica.
In 1994, Kevin moved to California once again to be closer to his family. He moved to Three Rivers in February 2001. Most recently, he was employed at Kaweah General Store.
He loved Three Rivers and spread his humor and kindness throughout the community.
Kevin is survived by his four sisters and one brother, all who reside in Riverside, Calif.
A service was held at Kaweah Park Resort on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
