Frances Good: 1926 ~ 2018

Frances Alice Cochrane Good, a former resident of Three Rivers, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at her son’s home in Solvang, Calif. She was 92.

Frances was born May 19, 1926, in Hanford to Harry and Emnma Cochrane, where she was raised and educated. After marrying her husband, Robert B. Good, the couple settled in Hanford and raised their four children there.

After retiring from many years of working for a Hanford title company, Frances and Bob enjoyed traveling in their RV. They built a home in Three Rivers where they resided for 20 years.

Frances’s philosophy of life was summed up in her oft-repeated phrase, “If you don’t have a good time, it’s your own damn fault.”

Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert B. Good (1923-2011), her mother and father; her sisters and brothers-in law, Anna Mae and Robert Overton and Dorothy and Wesley Nichols; her daughter, Bonnie Nelson; and son David R.C. Good.

She will be dearly missed by her many friends and by her family members, son Martin Good and wife Tricia; daughter Peri Lou Good (Jeff Kaplan); her daughter-in-law, Yolanda Montano; son-in-law, Lewis Nelson; eight grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and many nephews and nieces.

A memorial for Frances will be held in the spring at Hanford’s Grangeville Cemetery where so many of her loved ones are buried.
