Recent storms brought two more feet of snow to Wuksachi Lodge and adjacent areas.

WEATHER WATCH: January 25, 2019

The storms that skirted the Kaweah canyon earlier this week brought two more inches of rainfall and fresh snow above 5,000 feet. In Giant Forest, the precipitation added powdery snow on top of the patchy foot or more that was already on the ground.

At 7,000 feet, at nearby Lodgepole and Wuksachi, more than two feet of new snow was recorded. The season rainfall total of 8 inches in Three Rivers is double what it was one year ago.
