End of the Road


Trails in the Lake Kaweah basin are being inundated as the pool elevation of the reservoir is currently rising one foot per day. As of January 17, pool elevation was 610.18; storage was 27,133 acre feet; inflow was 169 cfs with no water being released.

The waterfowl and shorebirds are plentiful and keep an eye to the sky for a couple of bald eagles that are making this area their winter home.
