STEAM EXPO
Saturday, March 9, 8:30 am-3:30 pm, Planetarium and Science Center, Tulare County Office of Education, 11535 Ave. 264, Visalia. The science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) event includes the Tulare County Science and Engineering Fair that will include more than 50 entires from students who are vying for a chance to compete at the California State Science Fair. Also, speakers, vendors, exhibitors, hands-on activities, robotics exhibition, art contest, and Science Fair awards ceremony. Free; open to the public (families and children of all ages welcome). SIERRA TRADITIONAL JAZZ CLUB: ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARTY
Saturday, March 9, 1-5 pm, Three Rivers Memorial Building. The lucky charm of this gathering will be High Sierra Jazz Band in their last STJC concert prior to the band’s retirement after Jazzaffair in April. Open to the public. Admission: $10; STJC members free.

RATTLESNAKE VACCINE CLINIC FOR DOGS
Sunday, March 10, 2-5 pm, Three Rivers Mercantile parking lot. All dogs who reside in the foothills should be vaccinated (even those previously vaccinated as the vaccine lasts 4 to 6 months). Sponsored by Lone Oak Veterinary Clinic and Three Rivers Woman’s Club (proceeds go to the Three Rivers Veterinary Assistance Fund). No appointment necessary; all dogs must be on a leash. Cost: $15 (cash only).

COMFORT FOR KIDS: QUILTING PROJECT
